on_wx Posted May 7, 2011 Share Posted May 7, 2011 I recently found new footage of a tornado from the August 20, 2009 Southern Ontario tornado outbreak. I'm not to sure of specifics off the top of my head about this tornado, but I believe it may be the same supercell that hit the town of Durham. This particular tornado was rated F2 from the damage it caused at the Georgian Bay Club before it moved out over water. This new footage is incredibly impressive and I personally think it's the best footage of a tornado in Ontario to date. With this newly found video it looks as though the tornado strengthened after it passed over the water. It becomes a violently rotating wedge, and I can't help but wonder how strong it eventually became. Ontario may have missed an opportunity to record another F3+ tornado FWIW.
