Much better storm the 2nd time around. Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning, including one strike that by my guess was about half a mile away. Estimated 40mph wind gusts. Torrential downpours that lasted for over 25 minutes, which has caused major flooding all over campus (this is usual, the drainage system here is awful). Still not what I expected from what was once a Day 2 Moderate Risk but decent nonetheless.

Bow is probably working his hex on this; he's a storm repellent. It's as though they're parting the Red Sea (the middle area being Milwaukee County. One cell looked to be on a beeline NE, then took a quick jerk north, and the cells to the south are starting to move E.

Its comical how many ways storms find a way to **** the bed before my place.

Doesn't seem like the storms want to move east much I don't know if they will make it here... Just training along NE.

the longer that complex back builds and trains the better chance it has of sliding south, IMO it makes it into your area, enjoy.

Interesting little 700 MB 'feature' being picked up by the RUC heading into this area. (NE OK, SE KS, SW MO, NW AW) I wonder if this will accelerate the storms or increase the threat for wind damage.

Got missed by a hair to the NW. And now storms just fired up to my East thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif... Still got some nice lightning out of it though. Areas up north got clobbered though, a lot of nice hail reports and some flash flooding..

Looks like that cell just east of you over the lake is probably dumping a bunch of ice cubes into the lake lol. Hail markers over 2" with that cell at times.

i've been on the roof watching, too hazy for nice pics but tons of lightning and bangers.

watching the cells to my southwest.

EDIT: flat out cold outside now.
