CoastalWx
I wonder if the w/f and higher dews getting farther north in MAss than progged will have any bearing on how far sw the backdoor gets? It went along just as progged.
Damage In Tolland
It went along just as progged. Yeah but you guys were thinking dews 54-57 not 60-65 as we had up to even ORH...that is subtle yet meaningful
CoastalWx
This might look like one of our classic "cold air tucks" from the winter. Winds rush down from the north and northeast from Maine and cstl NH...and then spread west and southwest albeit slower. Eventually though, it should spread pretty far southwest and not get hung up in the ORH hills. Remember this?
CoastalWx
Yeah but you guys were thinking dews 54-57 not 60-65 as we had up to even ORH...that is subtle yet meaningful Today looked like dews could be near 60 ahead of that front. Models sometimes underestimate them in the early season, but I don't think it was necessarily because the front was hung up or anything. My temp and dew has been dropping and now ORH is too. weatherMA
53.2F now. Spots are gonna be stuck in the upper 40s tomorrow if we get a steady rain. Yeah but with the high dews it will still feel opressive. 51/49 type deal.
CoastalWx
GFS MOS yesterday had 70F for ORH tomorrow, lol. Yeah can you believe that?? The GFS loves to let the warm air flood into SNE and hold off any backdoor front. LOL, that always happens here. Warm air just loves to surge into SNE during the Spring. dendrite
49.8F with a NNE wind gusting to 23mph. Those lower td's are draining in from N ME. I'm mentally preparing myself to remain in the 40s from this point through Wednesday now.

Warm air just loves to surge into SNE during the Spring. Its like when it tries to give me a 41F high temp in the classic CAD ice setups...when we know in reality it will be 30-31F. moneypitmike
I guess I'm too far west for the cooler temps? I'd like the 40's just because..... 55.6/55 off a high temp of 55.8. Winds continue ENE as they have since 10:00a.m. Total rain 1.65"

CoastalWx
Tomorrow looks almost completely dry. I wonder if it's just drizzle tomorrow in the morning. Most of the rain looks like it comes Tuesday I think they'll be some rain with that warmer air overriding the front, but some areas might escape most of the rain. Maybe se areas? It will also depend on any stuff that tries to fire to our south.
