CoastalWx
Exactly..where is the support for the cold NAM? There's no cold high..there's no cold SST's..Makes no sense SST's are around 48-50F. If there is a steady rain, some spots will stay in the 40s..especially higher terrain. It's the type of airmass where Logan may be stuck at 49-51F area. If we just have some cloudy skies, it will be a few warmer. I do think widespread 40s is a little too much, but it will all depend on how much of a northeast push we have. If it is weak, then you'll hit 60F as the best spring ever just keeps rolling and rolling.

I think we can all agree the best spring of any of our lifetimes was last year. This year has been better than usual..and I would go as far as to say it;'s been nice overall except for East Coastal areas..but def not best ever. MAn we have been pounded with these downpours the last 40 mins

That's what it's about You weren't kidding about the mugginess, I just got back from a run and was completely drenched in sweat, luckily I just beat out that rain shower. I'm also running a half marathon on June 5th but mine is in annapolis so probably not the same one.

Well dews are up into the low-mid 60s from the south shore to the south coast....but that's about as far as they are going to make it. Front is going to sink back south tonight and we get god-awful weather tomorrow.

mattb65
LOL dews are in the mid 50s...what are you gonna do when dews are 75 in August?? Didn't mean to complain about it. I love running in this kind of weather, much better than dry air or cold air. Just gotta be more conscious of hydration as the temps and dews keep rising. ORH_wxman
Today we have the ac on lol, congrats It was funny to go back and read the posts and how they changed as we got closer to this week. At first it was 70s and muggy with storms, then it was 60s to near 70 but still muggy with showers. Then it was 60s and muggy...then it was just south of the pike. I don't like the humidity, but for the love of God..at least have it be sunny. It's the classic kick in the nads. April is progressive enough to prevent or at least limit and cutoff potential, and then the atmosphere slams the brakes in May and allows this to happen. weatherwiz
The NAO has little to do here...EDIT If anything the positive NAO may have helped lead to this blocked up pattern we are in. Looks like the NAO anyways not only this month so far but the past few days has been either slightly positive or slightly negative...maybe more in the neutral territory.
