How's the tree pollen down there guys? I'm not sure I can remember it being this bad before up here. It seems like all of it is being released at once instead of gradually over a few days. I'm surprised the Plymouth AWOS isn't reporting SN from it. lawl

well 12z euro has 3-4" falling over all of SNE next week. does take all week to get to those numbers as modeled.

THANK GOD

After weeks of perfect weather we are dry as a bone, cant wait for a week of rain, perfect for lawn and garden jobs next week........Rain Rain Rain please! I love rain, part of the best spring ever package, after almost a month straight of perfect weather, it is now time to quench the earths thirst...........time to replenish

Only .44 of rain in may, that does not cut it two weeks into the month, with leaf out and very low dews the moisture has been sucked out of the soil.

Somehow I think a lot of people secretly wish you get the ten inch jackpot and your garden rots in the moisture, not me but it probably true.

actually that is going back to 4/25 that .44 of an inch here...desert dry-if it were july, everything would be brown....we'll get some rain next week, but who knows, alot of it could miss us to the south and west...IMO

Yeah the difference between our area and out east has truly been amazing, and I have had some fun with it, but its truly been an incredible run of weather, the rain next week is welcome, especially for those with allergies, people are just getting crushed this spring.

I like how we've had such a gradual, temperate spring this year...it's really wonderful to have a step-by-step progression from 40s to 50s to 60s to 70s to summertime temperatures, unlike 2010 where it was 90F on April 7th and 2009 where we had a brutal heat wave around April 16th.

I totally agree about the rain....I think the 12z ECM shows 1-2" here through Day 5/6, perfect for the veggie garden and lawn. I have been watering an unexpected amount; despite the lack of truly hot weather, sunny days in the 70s with low humidity and winds can dry out the soil fast, especially when the vegetation is first leafing out and sucks the moisture. I just planted my sweet corn a couple days ago, would love to have a gentle rain to help those seeds.

Euro remains very consistent in the cutoff through D8 at least, eventually breaking down by D10. Really looks like a great late-spring pattern, cool and wet with no end in sight. Hopefully all of the Sox-Yankees games are rained out too, so there are 6 double headers in September.

I don't mind this type of pattern b/c once they eventually break down they lead to more active times severe wx wise, not necessarily here but for other parts of the country. Usually it's some sort of trough that eventually works into the western US which finally allows for some sufficient moisture to work northward...and the later into spring and towards summer you are the further north this moisture usually advects and we start seeing some juicer instability values as well.

Dear Lord, we are in for one hell of a stretch.

I had commented to my wife yesterday that we were going to be getting a stretch of rain, but I had said so without having done too much studying. I guess my flippant foreast might have been an accurate one.

Topped out at 68.3 yesterday at the Pit. I had to drive into Death Valley (Hatfield) and the truck thermometer registered 75 down there. Can't believe some folks have summer time heat so close by!

51.5/48

High of 73 there today from a site at 1350'.

As I said, overcast and comfortable temps. If you look at the temp graph you'll see that it snuck into the 70's at Ashfield for about 90 minutes (1:30pm to 3pm). Other than that the temp was in the 50's and 60's. Very comfortable dp's as well.

There was nothing worse than last summer with extreme heat and dry with zero severe wx. How many damn heat spells did we have with basically no reward? If we go through August without an event, at least with this type of weather it was nice and cool and comfortable. Too bad winter can't be like this as well!

Lol--I reported too high, it was actually 68.1 for the high at the Pit.

Just shy of 70 here with a 69.7, The Ashfield site seems to run a little warm in the afternoon compared to here but the overnight lows are nearly identical. Steve's site was down for a few days but I see it's back up. The Black Flies will probably linger into June this year if the cool, cloudy weather persists. Last year they were in and out quickly due to the relatively warm weatherwe had. I hate them.

I don't know about the Ashfield high. I'm usually +/- a degree of there and the Marlboro sites on the highs (never match the nighttime lows though). Marlboro hit 70.0 os that 73 at Ashfield might have something screwy about it.
