Exactly. I'm not saying I'd rather have a week of that, but it beats it being really humid and uncomfortable.

70-75F and dry would be ideal in mid-may.

Worst case scenario is low 60s dews which isn't too uncomfortable with temps in the upper 60s.

It won't rain heavily every day... there will be dry periods (which the Euro has) but it's a very wet and chilly pattern.

Yeah we were talking about this yesterday..classic +RA setup for someone, with upper level features and high Andy PWAT air overriding the front. It has a nice Mother's Day 2006 tropical connection later next week as well. Hopefully it's not as terrible as this current euro run, but someone is getting a lot of rain next week.

best spring ever rolls on :sun: :sun: :sun:

This has the classic nice April, but crappy May pattern that we've seen in some of the sh*ttier Springs of late. It does show some signs of breaking up after next week, but you can get a renegade cutoff at any point since ensembles won't model it well beyond 10 days or so.

Its been a pretty ugly month for eastern New England and it doesn't look to get much better. Definitely a lot different weather than they've had in "the best spring ever" area of CT.

This week has been absolutely gorgeous here. It's been a somewhat better than average spring in CT I'd say. Certainly not the best ever.

Next week looks much, much different.

Been pretty "meh" here in May...the first few days of the month were nice but then its kind of gone to crap since then. It certainly hasn't been horrific either like maybe down on the Cape, but its seemed to be perpetual overcast the last week to 9 days with some rain off and on while your area has often been in the sun.

Yup... not unusual for spring i guess.

I'm ready for summer. Hot and humid all the way.

I can do without the humid part. I don't mind 85F if its 50F dewpoints. I prefer 75/45 though, lol.

Only if the heat and humidity will give us a very good severe wx setup, then I'll root for it....but great setups here are few and far between.

I spend a lot of time back home on the water and I like the humidity. If I was landlocked for most of the summer I'd probably not like it much.

Installing the ACs this weekend so you make it out alive from next week?

Air conditioning? The 12z ECM shows temperatures in the 50s and 60s next week; that doesn't feel uncomfortable even if it's humid. Humidity really doesn't become noticeable to me unless it's 75+, otherwise it just seems like cool rain. We're way south of you guys, and my parents haven't even thought of installing the AC yet....I think we put them in during early May last year with all the heat, but considering that no model shows much in the way of sustained hot temperatures, we'll probably wait until June this year. I love just having the screen door and windows open all the time, absolutely gorgeous.

Been very "meh" this May here. April so far has been leaps ahead of this month, and likely will continue for another week.

Amazing how strong the west-east gradient has been. Central Park is +1.2F for May; Bridgeport is +1.4F...to me this has been an idyllic May with comfortably warm days, constant sunshine, and crisp nights. Although April wasn't great, May has been delightful in these parts, and I've been out in the garden planting or out in the nature preserve running almost every day after work. Great times!

Its nice in the summer too. We can often have a nice 80F day while its roasting 94 and muggy to our SW 100-200 miles. The longitude just really sucks in the spring time....but I'll take it the other seasons, especially winter. :snowman:
