Jay Peak will be spinning the lifts next weekend... c'mon Pete winter rolls on ;)

I have a friend trying to entice me to head north this weekend to ski but after AK it's a bit anti-climatic. Still, haven't said no as any skiing is good by me. We'll see. Jay Peak from last April/May or Maybe 2009, I forget.

Looks about right.... we had 24" from that April 28-29 storm at Stowe.

Let me know if you come up... I'll probably be there one of the days this weekend. It'd be sweet to make some turns with you.

Was thinking of going to the GTG but not sure that's even happening. I've sent out an e-mail to my friend to see what day he was thinking. Usually stay at the Inglenook lodge as Jay as a daytrip is pushing it. I've done it but now opt for an overnight.

on a side note, the breeze may have been chilly...but at my house and around worcester the high was just about 70...i think at one point my car thermometer said 71, partly to mostly sunny all day...

59/38, Breezy cool day high of 65 here at the house and 58 @ 2k. Looks like a week of cool comfortable temps. Love how the torch talk has ceased.

65F is not a cool day for the Berkshires in early May; that's probably near or slightly above average. Central Park (KNYC) only has an average high of 68F on May 9th, and you're definitely quite a bit cooler than they are, especially in spring when elevation is so important to resisting the high sun angle and adding cloud cover. For someone living at 1400', I'd say 65F is a warm day for this time of year.

Did not think Weds would be cooler than Tues

Box has me at 59F for a high Tues, 56 Weds. That storm backing up?

There's a huge cold core low spinning a few hundred miles outside of Cape Cod, and it's really isolated from the main jet, so it will sit there for a while.

Given that you're pretty far west, you may see some breaks of sun Wednesday, especially in the early morning hours. I wouldn't be surprised if you had a broken sky until like 8-9am, and then more overcast working in. Here's the 18z NAM at 42:

18z GFS at 42 also shows you may get some peeks of sunshine in the morning, precip stays east of your area entirely, so no rain:

Tomorrow and Wednesday look beautiful for us in the Hudson Valley and that's what matters. ;)

I'm taking the train into the city tomorrow and should be a nice scenic ride and a very pleasant day there.

Wednesday I'm walking over that new "Walkway over the Hudson" park ...over the old restored railroad bridge in POU.

Zuckertubesocks, 59 @2k with a strong breeze sure felt cool as did the low 60's when I got home. After the endless promises of a Torch this weather is a pleasure. I would think this is close to seasonal norms. Please don't interfere when I troll Blizz.
