A very warm eddy can be seen on IR satellite south of BID. It's a little unusual to see it so far north and so pronounced. I'm not quite sure how warm it is, because buoy 44066 is broken, but yesterday there were tstms over that area as the cold air aloft passed over this eddy.

Upper 40s and overcast with occasional sprinkles. Best spring ever keeps rolling along!

Haha. Lol. Leaves just barely beginning to show themselves here. Grass nice and green though with all the rain. Must be even less up by you?

I wonder if they do Eddy trajectories anywhere... Like, interesting if this feature were to sever and meandre toward the NNW... That could be the first chapter in a story about 2011 hurricane roaring up the coast, having warmer than usual waters in the Shelf -

Ahh yes..the Rutgers site has some cool imagery. That's a neat little feature. I think a couple of years ago we had another one of these eddies, but it did eventually go away. However, this was brought to my attention yesterday when I noticed tstms over this area yesterday. Anyhow, I thought it was a neat little feature.

NICE! We talked about that in current weather seminar yesterday. Pretty neat

Believe that it got up to 68 at the Chester hill at 1450'.

Chester Hill is considerably south of here. Regardless, I couldn't care any less. As long as we don't roast like the valley floor I'm good. Each day that passes with cool comfortable air is just one day closer to Winter without having to deal with horrid warmth.

It got up to 65.3 at the Pit yesterday. Looks like today will be cooler. eautiful sunny start though inspite of someclouds in the area. Good day for some mowing/splitting and other outdoor pursuits.

46.8/44

It's been a dreary stretch of weather but I'll take this over the early heat last year.
