It happens. IDK about LaGuardia or JFK, but out in the 'burbs most May's see temps dip into the 30s at least once.

Yeah, definitely, this isn't particularly unusual after a big cold front....most of Westchester got close to freezing on May 12th last year, and that was the warmest spring on record.

Clearing...45.4/43

So today everyone got out of the 40's? From what i understand his post said this week. Does that exclude wednesday of this week? Im sorry if you did not understand that saying, pretty much went over ur immature head.

Yea dude. My high was 64. Wait, let me check my math.... yep, that is higher than 49.

Holy hell dude are you really this dumb? His post was referring to some claim that we WOULD NOT get out of the 40s this week (i.e. the temperature would not rise above 49 F). You CAN read right?

The avg low in NYC for May 4 is 50 F so 49 F isn't exactly jaw-dropping.

According to Allsnow we haven't got above 49 F this entire week. News to me.

that high was before the cold front game through after mid-night you walking abortion. You state that his post was about not getting out of the 40s this week, which we did not on Wednesday. How you spin that to make it look like people where saying a week of 40s I have no idea. It was a chilly day and shows that we can have 40s for highs during the day. So stfu you have no idea what ur talking about.

Where did I say that? According to you its either climo or higher in may. Your as useless as a screen door on a submarine. Its more jaw dropping to think NYC metro was in the upper 40s and low 50s during a May day. That's what he ment, not some temp recorded before a cold front at 2am. So up up up we go pazzo, now run along and go hump ur thermometer that runs higher the any obs in the area.

EWR had a high of 49 on May 12th last year so I don't know why you needed to prove it this year.

At 8AM yesterday most places were well into the 50s.

Last year on May 12th most places never got out of the 40s from midnight-midnight.

Thanks ray. I just bump a troll post and someone is trying to defend it and spin it to try and say he was right.

NYC was above 49F for a good part of Wednesday. The high temperature was 64, which is above 49 F. You really must have some math issues.

can you at least multiquote so your thread derailments dont take up as many f*cking posts?

Sorry, I am compelled to call out abject stupidity when I see it. Let's get back to talking about all this exciting weather.

It's nice out.

Haha I hear ya, sometimes my approach is a bit haphazard.

It's a great May day. All this talk of cold etc is kind of ridiculous: It's May. If the sun is out, it will be warm.

Ill pass on 30 mph winds and not that warm when the sun isn't out. Plus, popcorn showers later. Not really a nice day for May 5th, maybe April 5th.

Seriously. I walked outside of my house today and it was 48 degrees with a cold NW wind over 20mph. Had to run back in to get a jacket.

Afternoon should be nice, but wont feel as nice with the strong winds.

Chilly start. But may sun up up we go. 80 by noon

Yeah beautiful day on tap. As someone else said, this is the first spring in awhile I recall a nice, slow transition from winter to summer. We've had many days with highs in the 60s this spring; often times it's 40/50s then right to the high 70s/80s, and we skip that comfortable 55-70 degree range.

I agree tom. We will have plenty of hot humid days this summer, with john telling us his car temp. Lol. Might as well enjoy some avg may temps and not jump right into 90's like the past few years
