A-L-E-X
You can see how much of an inland summer it has been by comparing the 90+ highs of EWR and TEB vs the city and its airports. Tony, was Caldwell in line with EWR and TEB? Im trying to think of some of the other urban NJ sites.... Linden, SMQ, BEL, etc.?

Stormlover74
Not really because EWR has been running a general 3 to 5 sometimes even 6 degrees higher than any other reporting site. Today its been 2 degrees as they've been at 91 and TEB/SMQ are 88-89. CDW is 15 miles away but 86 (I believe its 200-300 feet ASL at the airport where they measure). Linden is no longer used as a surface station You can see how much of an inland summer it has been by comparing the 90+ highs of EWR and TEB vs the city and its airports. A-L-E-X
Just missed ... 89 here. 91 here-- weird if the south shore of Long Island is the only place that tops 90 today lol-- Howard Beach, Long Beach and Gilgo Beach on Fire Island all reached 91, as it did here. A-L-E-X
JFK hit 90 today, 11 short of the all time record of 101 from that classic mega heatwave of 1993 (same as the Park), with 100 to follow for tomorrow (102 for NYC).
Cfa
Am I the only one that hit 90 yesterday before everything went downhill? I noticed some wunderground stations did as well, however it's still strange.
A-L-E-X
If wunderground is right then JFK was the hottest place in New York State today and the only location that hit 90 (officially anyway).
ag3
EWR hit 90 again of course. 91 actually.
A-L-E-X
EWR hit 90 again of course. 91 actually. Looks like they may have hit 92 lol. It would be interesting if JFK was the only location in our whole state to hit 90 though. The south shore was 90-91 all day all the way out to Fire Island.
