turtlehurricane
150 kt, this is very bad. This supercell is ridiculous, the RFL and FFL are each a good 20-30 miles and lined with deep convection. It's being sustained so well I can see this generating an upscale vortex.

turtlehurricane
Storms N and S developing couplets...can see gravity waves propagating N and spurring mesocyclone development...oh boy... The two waves on the FFL are particularly vigorous, probably about to drop tornadoes. There's a good 60 kt of shear across the FFL, which can definitely translate into powerful couplets as it rolls up.
upsloper
yeah, you can say that again. Amazing storm. It's been looking like a hurricane for a while on radar. That cell has incredible inflow and is feeding on some extreme helicity.
turtlehurricane
This is going to be a huge disaster. A very significant rain wrapped tornado in the dead of night through an area without good building codes.
Derecho!
Northern one heading for Corinth has a tornado on ground. If the middle one can miss Amory to the North it's over fairly unpopulated areas for the moment. Couplet looks weakest on the south one headed for Columbus.
