jasonli18t
rain has finaly ended here in Ramsey. We have a downed tree in our parking lot, about 12" in diameter. I don't believe you.
ag3
I don't believe you. Its probably an old, rotted tree. Winds were no more then 40mph to maybe 50mph for him, during the storm. A real tree would not fall with those weak winds.
pazzo83
Awesome shot. You could probably get some really nice lightning shots this summer hitting the BoA Tower. That is a good call, I bet that building gets struck a lot given its tall spire.

pazzo83
Might not be severe but these storms are hauling ass. 65 mph according to Upton's most recent Special weather statement.

IsentropicLift
and we all know, the heart of those cells missed the city to the north. With that being said, I care about as much as what happens in NYC as I do the middle of the ocean. You guys can keep your smog and polution. There really is no storm thats going to bring significant weather to the city itself barring a microburst or a tornado. IsentropicLift
If you were gonna be honest with me, you wouldn't tell me a foot wide tree snapped in a passing shower have you been watching the radar, we got hit numerous times here. I really don't need to justify anything to you, the bowing segments on radar speak for themselves. Don't know if the tree was healthy or not, just reporting what happened. Yeah, Morris/Passaic/Bergen counties are like a mini severe/tornado alley compared to NYC just a few miles away. NYC hasn't ever really had a bad storm. Are you serious with this crap you post? IsentropicLift
We have these things called parks which have trees and stuff. yeah...except nobody lives there. You don't have to worry about them hitting much when they fall either, unless you want to throw in a car or very unlucky person. You want to thrown in a few stray trees in the other burbs, go right ahead. When was the last report of major damage in the city outside the tornadic cells from last year? and a 65MPH is not going to rip the roof off a structure, unless it was very poorly designed or failing anyway. pazzo83
So central park has recorded 5.07in of precip for the month, but I wonder how much more we'll get today. That cell south of Philly looks like it's gonna miss the city to the south.
