Also, i dont see why people want severe weather, unlike blizzards, which rarely kill people, severe weather KILLS and DESTROYS..i for one am glad i live on long island which is protected by our best friend, the atlantic ocean, from severe weather. Let's see how well it holds together. 70 F now in midtown. Up up up. Very tropical feel out there. Side note: if it is like this in late APRIL, we are in for one hell of a tropical-like summer. National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado near Califon... or 17 miles east of Easton... moving northeast at 50 mph. * The tornado will be near... Long Valley and Hackettstown by 1125 am EDT... Chester and Budd Lake by 1130 am EDT... Succasunna... Netcong and Stanhope by 1135 am EDT... Wharton... Dover and Mount Arlington by 1140 am EDT...
