tornadotony
Referring to the PDS watches... Area west of Little Rock, AR has calmed down a bit. That is a very old image. The southern couplet is now maxing out near Mayflower.

Dunkman
Power outages and surges being reported in West Little Rock (via KTHV). Lowering seen live on sky cam... http://www.todaysthv...ght-now-on-THV2 I can definitely make out a wall cloud on the tower cam...doesn't appear to be on the ground at this very moment but it's difficult to be sure because it is very dark. thewxmann
Regarding the sudden uptick in AR tornadic activity just now, I just remembered that the boundary laid behind by this morning's MCS stalled out across this area. This is probably what is responsible for what is happening now. Another interesting factoid: I was wondering why most of the storms have only produced funnel clouds up to now. Well, apparently the LCL's have risen dramatically due to the mixing out of low-lvl moisture - dewpoints are in around 60 down in nrn LA. The models were hinting at this but I think many, including myself, overlooked it.

tornadotony
I think the tornado threat will likely only increase after dark as LCLs lower. Even if we end up getting congealing, the amount of shear should support QLCS tornadoes. And that storm near Little Rock is filthy.

Yeah not only the LCLs lowering but you are going to have the LLJ ramp up also. I think these premature calls of things becoming less tornadic will be rescinded.
