KEITH L.I
La Nina= Disaster. very general statement. If you are concerned about a apps runner or lake cutter, even in the greatest winters you get your share of those, especially in December.it's too early in the season to make a judgement. Riptide
La Nina= Disaster. Go read about winter 95-96 and you will change your opinion.
Guest Patrick
A 95-96 repeat would be difficult to do, considering that by late December 1995 we already had 3 accumulating snowfalls within the NYC metro and NJ burbs. Not saying it is impossible, especially if the Nina is indeed weakening, it is just unlikely. The more likely scenario is powerful la Nina = la nada for most of the winter. Sure, we always have the chance of threading the needle, but many here have been spoiled by the past two decades. It is quite possible that the NYC/NJ region escape this winter with <20 inches of snow. Go read about winter 95-96 and you will change your opinion.
