I heard the Poconos has some snow during the last day or so......anyone have any obs on how much.....even an inch or two of powder is nice to see on the man made base.....my skiers are getting the itch to get up there for opening weekend at JF.

I don't know about the higher elevations but down here at the bottom of the Poconos we've just had flurries. (A dusting Friday night but it melted Saturday)

Cold & dry, warm & wet...sounds like la nina to me. =) Of course if the AO comes to fruition as appears predicted around mid-month and tanks, bringing the NAO with it, perhaps there will be good opportunity then. The question remains, what is the STJ looking like? Is there moisture out of the pacific and gulf to play with? As my understanding that is more of an El Nino trait than a La Nina one.

End of the month into early January would be the perfect time to get a storm as I'll actually be home then.:snowman:
