I'm back down to 33.3. I still have light rain falling.

Here in Macungie, 37 degrees and rising from 32 degrees at 6:30 pm. Even though we are under a freezing rain advisory- It is not going to happen. Light rain is currently falling and any chance of evaporative cooling is long gone with the higher dew points. Actually, I see dense fog being a possibility in the morning hours before the front comes ripping through our area by the evening. It really seems we get screwed out a building low pressure system this time of the year. The moderate rain tomorrow night will gradually change over to snow ---woopee. I have relatives in Milwaukee and northern Wisconsin. They have one hell of a blizzard going on tonight and tomorrow.

Missing out on freezing rain is fine with me. Missing out on snow is another story. Hopefully your relatives will send you some nice pictures of all that snow.

This is one case though where mex mos will be too cold (from several days ago). The GFS moved the cold front through too quickly and IIRC there was a 30F high in there for PHL tomorrow (along with much more wind).

It wouldn't surprise me temps held around 40 for part of the day before falling back in the PM as CAA takes over. The GFS was really aggressive with that cold front (no surprise) for a while.

Also, big time bust on the GFS and NAM on temperatures -- it's 60 at PHL. Nothing like a one day torch to screw up the departures for the month.

History runs that a 60 degree day in December leads to a philly snow fall the next day. The backside of this storm may wallop us with three inches of snow for everyone. The energy of this storm is surprising with the convection already and the heavy downpours this morning. We will see

0.76" on the day so far + a few hundreths last night.

58.4° out now, down from a high of 59.0° about 20 mins ago.

Max wind gust today to 26 mph too. That must've happened while I was asleep, since 26 on my PWS usually equates to 30-40 in real life. Anyone else have some good gusts?
