Isotherm
Flurrying now, sort of looks like a snow globe outside. That's what I was thinking. Flakes coming down very slowly and gracefully, nice picture out there.

hurricaneschwartz
our tease ps.. nice to see Glen made it to the new Forum. Hi Glen! Great to see those obs of snow! Thought I lost all of you with the end of Eastern. You can send pictures to our website or through our facebook page and we might put them on the air. And that holds true all through the winter. There's nothing that can compare to real-time observations from people who actually know what they're seeing (sleet vs. freezing rain, for example). Paul, That is interesting on how that forecast differentiates between ice on the ground and accruing on exposed surfaces. I would have thought occurring at night and after the cold week that the gap would be smaller.
cold&cloudy
NW New Jersey may see some snow and ice before changing to rain in the morning. From the NWS: Saturday Night: A slight chance of rain and snow before 10pm, then a slight chance of snow between 10pm and midnight, then a chance of snow and freezing rain after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. East wind between 3 and 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible. Sunday: Rain or freezing rain, becoming all rain after 9am. High near 44. East wind between 6 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Sunday Night: Rain before 9pm, then snow. Low around 27. Southeast wind 6 to 10 mph becoming west. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. Such a disappointment considering how cold it has been over the past week. At least it'll turn cold again after the weekend storm.
