0.76" on the day so far + a few hundreths last night.

58.4° out now, down from a high of 59.0° about 20 mins ago.

Max wind gust today to 26 mph too. That must've happened while I was asleep, since 26 on my PWS usually equates to 30-40 in real life. Anyone else have some good gusts?

35 MPH

It wouldn't surprise me temps held around 40 for part of the day before falling back in the PM as CAA takes over. The GFS was really aggressive with that cold front (no surprise) for a while.

Also, big time bust on the GFS and NAM on temperatures -- it's 60 at PHL. Nothing like a one day torch to screw up the departures for the month.

Isn't that the way alot of winter months seem to go? I have to send flowers to 12/1 & today or my December analog mean would be alot worse that it already looks like its going to be.

I could use a couple more of todays for my forecast. ;)

That seemed like one of those old wives' tales. Just from following weather and climate, I would bet that snow is more likely in Dec after a 60 degree day somewhere like Denver or Elko.

Heavy rain is definitly building last hour or so over SE PA. Will be interesting to see if this area of rain stays over PA and NJ rather than LI as most of the models had been predicting.

Looks like that area will. The other area developing on and just off of SNJ will affect more of the city and the island.

You may have dispelled it, but it still has a slim chance for tomorrow anyway. At this point, I would have a better chance rolling snake eyes than saying that we will a snowfall event for this upcoming week. I do not believe any model tun right now. Man, what ever happen to consistency in these model runs lately? It has to get better. I think alot of people are not posting now because they are fed up with these model runs saying a potential storm event within the 7-10 day time frame and ending up with jack crap. I am not a snow weenie- but like most of us --- a model wonk---- and want the models to be somewhat accurate. I welcome your commentssmile.gif

A model "what"?

I think we will see flurries to no/lil' accum....backside snow or Lake effect never really pans out to much

Down to 45 here, just over 1 inch in the bucket

The EC has been pretty consistent with this.

What are the latest thoughts of getting some backend snow showers from this thing tomorrow when the cold sweeps in? Just a couple of flakes even would be nice :)

We should see some flurries/snow showers the next few days, from backlash and LES, similar to last week.

wonk is a person who studies a subject or issue in an excessively assiduous and thorough manner: e.g. a policy wonk.
