Just an absolute horror show down there. I'm not sure that I've ever seen a tornado with that much intensity with respect to the multiple vortices. Just like what was described when the Tri-State tornado occured...."a boiling mass of clouds that seemed to be on the ground". Unbelievable....

What causes the horizontal looking vortices that are so evident in the Tuscaloosa storm as well as some of the others.

In some of them, they are just rotating so quickly. Eerie, beautiful, and deadly

I'm not sure, but the video almost looked fake because we just don't normally see that type of tornado on film. That tornado had to have some incredible inbound/outbound velocities to create those vorticies. And I agree with you...eerie, beautiful, and unfortunately...deadly.:(
