FoothillsNC
I didn't see this posted anywhere but if I overlooked, mods feel free to merge. The models have 9 to 15" of total rains during the next 10 days in the region mentioned. The Bermuda ridge will help stall a frontal zone and a new system will emerge and a strong 850 low wrap up (and sfc) by Tue/Wed in the western KY region, which will probably be responsible for another severe outbreak in the South, with several days of heavy, repeating rains for eastern Ok/Ks and northeast toward Ind/CHI/DTW. Then round two develops with more Pacific energy coming in and closing off around the central Plains or Upper Midwest. The Bermuda ridge gets slightly booted around late next week with the push of the first system, but flexes again on both ECMWF and GFS, so that should once again stall a boundary in the same general region, for repeating rains again.
