Here are a couple more pics I didn't get a chance to post earlier because I was busy with a webcast:

This was a cell just south of Franklin, NC around 5pm.

And this was around 5.20pm.

It also hailed over a wide area. Several friends on Facebook reported hail across the county.

And here are the pictures of hail taken at about 6.30pm:

wow, this looks almost like the early April event here in Cleveland and Gaston Counties...wer'e about to get clobbered. The line is now bowing and thats always a bad omen, really speeding up too. The momentum as the ULL took a slight neg. tilt in just the right spot in northern GA catapulted the line in the Upstate. May go offline here in second.

Stay safe up there! That certainly looks like a very rough bow echo :yikes:

Looks awful indeed back west. Already the wind is kicking up a good bit and the flashes of lightning are getting brighter the closer these storms get. Watching the cell near Gaffney that's making a dead run for my house. It's going to be a wild ride in a few...

When the storms came through here about 7:30, there was tons of wind, T & L and rain. According to my phone, it was 91 degrees. Now it's a steady rain, breezy & a chilly 65.

We lost power for only a few seconds, not sure about DISH cause we were watching Blue's Clues on DVD. =)

Did not get one single picture. The 4 yr old & Min Pin were crawling all over me!

We actually had 2 storms about 30 minutes apart. I did not see any hail, but some was reported downtown.

Hoping this all passes by before tomorrow evening...h.s. graduation is outside.
