wow thanks to everybody on the nice compliments. Means a lot (boosts me on an otherwise dreary Friday). Hopefully some good storms get areas (like GA) that have missed out lately.

I think we all have learned something from you..........nice work! We appreciate your passion and your knowlege.

Power out for 2 hours, no rain to speak of but some crazy wind.:gun_bandana:

Mine went out for about 20 minutes too :gun_bandana: Got a few sprinkles (not enough to dampen the ground) as a consolation prize as I watched 2 (yes that's right....2)storms on either side of me totally miss mby :gun_bandana:

Darn that's not good. I know how you feel since I've had the same thing happen here with storms before. We somehow managed to get .48 here around 8 pm tonight from a nice little storm. Hoping for more tomorrow.

I had a little bit of free time today, so I decided to go up to the parkway and watch the storms come in with a buddy. Boy was that sure a good decision, as we had some awesome cloud views, and got caught in a hailstorm at Mt. Mitchell State park that produced pea sized hail. Really fun day overall. Here are a few photos!

Ended with about .25" at the house today. Not bad, but I thought I'd be coming back to more considering two storms went right over my location.

Nice pics Phil! Had a couple move overhead here but were not that impressive. About .24 total with very little lightning. I also notice the chances are looking down today hopefully we can get some good storms going this after noon

Pretty good downpour yesterday afternoon at the north end of lake lanier. Saw a small waterspout beforehand-there were surprisingly strong gusts right before the rain began.

 that was the storm i could see from mby and watched it move this way....and skirt off just to my west (ie within a few miles lol)

Front about to go through, no rain here at all. After a wet start, May is turning out very dry, and I am not sure we will get all that much coming up either. Boo....

Yeah I'm pretty disgusted. It hasn't rained much here for quite a while. The top soil has completely dried out and the grass is dying or is dead everywhere. I cut grass..i mean weeds, yesterday and I had to use a damn mask because of all the dust. I was afraid of this since the models kept getting drier and drier, despite FFC giving us high pops which I didn't understand giving the dry model output. Now we will have to wait at least another week for any. Sucks big time.

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued here like everyday. Very wet soils from parts of Wilkes County to Sparta back to Jefferson in the mountains.

Bracing for another round of weaker storms at the moment.

WXII just ran a crawler during the golf tournament but called it a Flash Flood Warning. arrowheadsmiley.png
