I heard it, very sombering. These things just keep holding together and a new one just popped up in Alabama.

Extremely sobering! The outbreak here a couple weeks ago was on of the most stressful days in my life, as people lost there lives in that event. Protecting ones family and self against a force you cannot control, and don't necessarily see coming until the near term is something I would not wish on my worst enemy, it is literally exhausting. Thankfully we were unscathed, I can not even begin to fathom a direct impact that involved loss of life in my immediate area, or worse.

25 dead in AL per ABC 33/40

Ken kook here in atlanta says the tornado is one mile wide. :axe:

And of course his channel cuts back to american idol! HOLY F*CK. SCREW YOU 5 and american idol.

It was at least that wide, if not a mile and a half, when it clipped Birmingham. My God, how unprecedented is it in the Southeast to have a tornado that big on the ground for that long. Amazing.

...THERE IS A MDT RISK OF SVR TSTMS FROM ERN KY SWD INTO CNTRL AL...

...THERE IS A SLGT RISK OF SVR TSTMS OVER MUCH OF THE ERN U.S. ASIDE

FROM NEW ENGLAND AND PENINSULAR FL...

...A HISTORICAL AND DANGEROUS OUTBREAK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND

TORNADOES CONTINUES ACROSS PARTS OF THE TN VALLEY AND SRN STATES...

CHANGES TO PREVIOUS OUTLOOK INCLUDE:

2/ ADD HIGHER TORNADO PROBABILITIES IN MID-ATLANTIC

3/ REDUCE MDT RISK SWD FROM THE OH VLY

4/ TRIM WRN EDGE OF SVR RISKS IN TANDEM WITH FROPA

1. SVRL TORNADIC SUPERCELLS CONTINUE ENE FROM ECNTRL MS AND CNTRL AL

INTO ERN TN AT MID-EVENING. FAVORED ZONE OF ADDITIONAL SUPERCELL

DEVELOPMENT MAY OCCUR ALONG LOW-LEVEL CONFLUENCE ACROSS SWRN-CNTRL

AL THROUGH LATE EVENING. THIS WILL BE AMID THE MOST VOLATILE

COMBINATION OF EFFECTIVE SRH AND INSTABILITY AND THERE WILL BE A

CNTRL/NERN AL INTO NWRN AL AND SERN TN THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS.

3. ALTHOUGH THERE WILL STILL BE A THREAT FOR ISOLD TORNADOES...DMGG

WINDS AND HAIL FROM THE OH RVR NWD TOWARD THE LOWER GREAT LAKES INTO

LATE EVENING...HIGHEST PROBABILITIES OF SUSTAINED SVR WEATHER WILL

REMAIN FROM KY COALFIELDS SWD. CONSIDERABLE CLOUDS AND RAIN HAVE

MITIGATED STRONG DESTABILIZATION TODAY PER 00Z ILN SOUNDING.

THEREFORE...MDT RISK/PROBABILITIES HAVE BEEN SHIFTED SWD.

I'm never watching Fox 5 again. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.

I don't know about you and everyone else but I am most certainly contacting them and complaining about it. (it's not kook's fault to be clear though, it's station management no doubt) If there ends up being a large area of destruction or death, these morons should get it right in the jaw by someone. Woefully irresponsible doesn't even begin to describe it.

Our sister station in Birmingham is at wits end! It's crazy out there! This tornado has been on the ground almost 3 hours now!!!! RIDICULOUS! Rome, GA is about to get walloped.... I can only hope this won't be in my viewing area, though those in Chambers and Lee county in AL and Troup, Meriwether and Harris County need to watch this closely... OMG!

So wait. They think it's more important for people to watch American Idol than stay tuned to a extremely dangerous storm....? Makes no sense, and the worse thing is, this reminds me of people who were complaining about not being able to watch "Dancing with the Stars" during the last severe outbreak that occurred several days ago. :lightning::gun_bandana:
