janetjanet998
I think a poster said that this could be counted as a two day outbreak due to less than 6 hours between tornado touchdowns which means we could be seeing 179 reports of tornado touchdowns yes same outbreak there was only like an hour between reports starting in texas yesterday(12z to 13z this morning)..and many more that were entered as wind reports that said possible tornado last night

AL colored in red is yet another thing that goes beyond words today I don't think tornado reports ever had a filter only wind and hail did..of course many are from the same tornado again you have to add the 61(that will increase) from yesterday afternoon.evening and the early morning hours before 12z

Derecho!
CNN has Tuscaloosa tornado video tagged with "apparent tornado" at the bottom. Also Chad Myers rather stupidly talking about how everything should be weakening at the moment. EDIT: He just proclaimed the outbreak "done." DBriedis
WAAO radio in Andalusia AL is reporting "I have spoken with a friend of mine that works at the hospital in Tuscaloosa. She said that there are hundreds of fatalities that haven't been reported yet. A housing project was completely leveled and that's where the deaths are. SharonA
This could be the one that gets Atlanta eventually. Well there's a pair of cells moving into and through Carroll County now ; the southmost looks to clip Atlanta. Both were TOR warned on the AL side of the border and SVR on this side. Getting thunder, lightning, and gusts in Winston/west Douglas County now. From where we are, we hear an East Carroll County siren go off when there is any warning for any part of Carroll County. It wails for a few minutes then stops. Sort of like a 25-minute-heads-up for us. The real Showtime, however, is yet to come for Atlanta.
