...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT FOR NORTHERN

CHOCTAW COUNTY...

AT 711 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR AND STORM

SPOTTERS WERE TRACKING A LARGE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TORNADO. THIS

TORNADO WAS BETWEEN CYRIL AND YANTLEY...OR ABOUT 16 MILES NORTHWEST OF

BUTLER...MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.

THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR...

PUSHMATAHA AND YANTLEY AROUND 720 PM CDT...

CROMWELL...LISMAN AND RIDERWOOD AROUND 725 PM CDT...

MOLLIE...HALSELL...JACHIN AND LITTLE WALKER AROUND 730 PM CDT...

THIS TORNADO HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING LOSS OF LIFE AND PROPERTY

DAMAGE IN CLARKE COUNTY MISSISSIPPI.

CHEROKEE COUNTY IN NORTHEAST ALABAMA...

SOUTHEASTERN ETOWAH COUNTY IN NORTHEAST ALABAMA...

* UNTIL 800 PM CDT

* AT 713 PM CDT...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WAS TRACKING A

CONFIRMED TORNADO NEAR GLENCOE...OR 6 MILES EAST OF MARKTON.

DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED THIS TORNADO MOVING EAST AT 60 MPH.

sounds like at least some injuries, number unknown

that cherokee co. cell is going to have to split the uprights between rome and cedartown to avoid a big population center, and there are plenty of other healthy-sized cities behind those

I'm afraid NW of Birmingham is going to end up being much worse than Tuscaloosa. On the level of Greensburg, KS or worse.

It was certainly strengthening on the way from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham, I would say the best couplet was just prior to entering the western Birmingham suburbs.
