weatherwiz
[ray]Who cares?[/ray] It's interesting to see...SPC didn't even really have that area outlined in the general thunderstorm line and it appears as if the line is going more northward than northeastward. weatherwiz
Temperatures have really warmed here in Hartford at least, already 56F with WAA still occurring and as that LLJ ramps up mixing should increase a bit...wonder if we can hit 60F here today? weatherwiz
Thats a big time meh. Good for MA but only like 300mi from here.. Should have clarified... The point of that post was to indicate how far north the line may actually get and considering the dynamics will be increasing that could be enough to help maintain the line and given the trajectory that could mean we do indeed see some sort of line possibly come close to SNE which could certainly help with transferring strong winds down. Just something to watch over the next few hours.
HIPPYVALLEY
Has stopped her for the time being with .,30" on the nose. If nothing else, the math will be easy to keep track of what falls during the daylight hours. .4 here since yesterday. Not sure we are going to get near the 2" of qpf the models were giving us. weatherwiz
.4 here since yesterday. Not sure we are going to get near the 2" of qpf the models were giving us. Well the heaviest of the QPF was not expected to get into the region until sometime this afternoon...everything seems just about on track so far QPF wise and rainfall wise. As the LLJ continues to increase as well and as the front continues to advance eastward we'll see the precip shield continue to blossom even more given the moisture transport occurring out ahead of it and with such strong lift. We should see some pretty crazy rainfall rates within this line.
moneypitmike
.4 here since yesterday. Not sure we are going to get near the 2" of qpf the models were giving us. Up to .38" here. I have little doubt we'll exceed 2.0". Temp continues to rise--45.6/44.

weatherwiz
Seems like we might see a couple G50 in the more favorable locations in downpours imo. Yeah I think we'll see some isolated areas that gust pretty well, especially the areas that are prone to gusting well in these setups. This isn't going to be anything widespread. While many obviously don't really care I think the rain part of this will be the most fascinating, should see some insanely heavy downpours later on...probably going to look like one of those days in the summer when it's insanely humid and it just dumps for a period of time. The amount of moisture and the moisture transport with this system is just sick.

Places that high in elevation today are going to rock pretty well, hell, even places as low as 1500-2000ft should see some pretty awesome winds today. The winds in the lowest 5000ft of the atmosphere are just so strong. Even mixing down only like 30% of those winds would still yield to some fairly gusty conditions. weatherwiz
Now up to 58F in Hartford with winds gusting into the mid 20's...wonder how high temps end up getting. Still WAA occurring and mixing should improve a bit as well...some spots should get into the lower 60's perhaps...especially in SE areas...that could make the wind potential a bit more "fun". moneypitmike
36/36 here with fog. Bit of a gradient... While my anamometer is only 8' up, its location is best for winds with no westerly or northly component. So--hopefully I can actually record some decent winds. If there is any westerly element, though, it will be corrupted by more than the 8' height.

I wonder if the winds there will slightly increase as the LLJ begins to become more defined, and the heaviest of the precip is still well west of this area as well.
