Zeus
Let's try to move discussion of the 12/5 retro snow into a new thread... and keep this thread for threats beyond 12/5? Sky god wants dibs on making new thread. For glorious luck benefits.
dryslot
NAM snow graphics paint the 2 inch line including the eastern 2/3 of MA, NE RI. 4 inches at the coast but including PVC and all of Essex Cty. Large swaths of ME with 12+. Elephant...take that fatso! Yeah, I was just looking at the 48 hr snowfall for the nam on sv, Pretty impressive..... Damage In Tolland
Thankfully it's the NAM and Kevin's bullseye will likely disappear in future runs. LOL..congrats on the disc of the sun visible in the valleywhile to your NE we're getting steady snow with 1-3 inches...sounds like last year
CT Rain
LOL..congrats on the disc of the sun visible in the valleywhile to your NE we're getting steady snow with 1-3 inches...sounds like last year As I said I wouldn't be surprised if you got an inch or two... but more than that is extremely unlikely. This is the 12z NAM chances are a less extreme solution will come to pass and you won't get much.

NorEastermass128
Give me an inch or two or three and I won't complain. Haven't seen more than two inches since MLK Day when I drove back down to school for Spring semester last January!

powderfreak
The west slope of the Greens are going to get nailed too. This is looking, very, very nice up this way and over into the northern slopes of the Whites, plus the ME mountains. Synoptic moisture backing in coupled with a cyclonic NNW sfc-H85 flow equals enhanced snowfall. This threat is no longer purely upslope in nature here... now its synoptic with upslope enhancment. Nice.
MaineJayhawk
And this is just storm 1.......... Correct. Storm #2 appears to be stronger when it pays a visit a few days later.
40/70 Benchmark
Euro nothing to write home about. I gathered that when not one person posted about it. 12\5...ding-dong that that threat is dead.

40/70 Benchmark
The thing is....time is running out of you want something greater than an inch or two. I said last night that I'm giving up on anything greater than 2"....I could def. fathom up to an inch or two, though my best guess is of the nuisance variety. radarman
the Euro still has the massive ridge off Kamchatka forming by day 6-7, eventually being undercut by the pac jet with the HP taking up residence over north pole. Nice signal for down the road.
