valid point

with all that aside

this is only my second year on hear and i respect your posts and look forward to reading them (esp. last year) but it seems the joy and optomism is mostly gone. mosty joking but i recall reading several of your posts this year and it seems you have used your gift of analyzation and turned it toward the dark side of how this or that could possibly miss us in the worst possible way . like you were scorned and resent mother nature for last years torture

p.s any shot the SE extent of the s/w moving thru pittsburgh fires up some sn- over western areas late late tonite.

You should get caught up in it. Sardonic overtone is in the spirit commiseration.

Looks like a Norlun extending from ORH down thru about BDR should jackpot..while areas east of there reamin partly sunny

You'd have to rotate the orientation of this system about 140 degrees clockwise to get that type of norlun setup. Any inverted trough precip would likely be from ENE to WSW or NE to SW.

Just catching up....some decent trends overall...enough to keep areas north and east of Union CT interested.

Fun keeping tabs on things through the day now with my droid. I view today's trends as favorable and think with this current system out of the way we'll see some very positive trends the next 24-36hrs. Still think it's a Snow Bowl Monday night.

The whole 'Black Op" thing is about as Dorky as it gets.lol

Snowing yet? What a wild day. Anafronts like this have kicked off many a very fine winter, they can beat me down all they like Pete but we know what's coming. We posted in April that Dec would kick it off. On Jerrys BDay the three amigos stand tall LA EPIC

The idea of a front going through like this and changing the whole picture has been gnawing at me for a while. Was this enough of a push to signal Winter's start? I think so...

Boom!

We gotta get some soon. I can't believe it's been almost a month since that 2" and nothing more than dustings since.

Today ended pretty much as I expected, though of course I was hoping we could score some accumulation against the models predictions.

It flipped to wet snow about 15 minutes before it ended and left slush on the deck , car roofs, etc.

32F here now.

The wafflers, the pessimists that find any reason to say woe is me, the disloyal, they can't hold back the onslaught that's coming. The roaring wind through the forest tonight says it all. Indeed, we shall stand tall for the time is upon us. We three shall rise victorious above the drifts and say to the non-believers "Behold your King, look upon the icy face of your vanquisher, Ullr has returned and ye shall pay."
