And of the mets just says, "Hard to tell where the circulation is, but I'll guess...."

That is too painful to watch. :axe:

Did Channel 4 even have a velocity pic?? I watched for about 3 minutes and just saw reflectivity. Guess that they don't have Doppler...or that they had 2 guys on there that don't know what to look for.

I never saw a velocity picture. Even if they don't have a Doppler, they could be looking at the NWS data...

According to TWC, a plane was lifted by tornadic winds at the airport, with people still inside it. Crews unable to reach it due to debris.

Person on the plane started a thread on the Flyer Talk message board asking for help.

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/american-aadvantage/1208429-we-trapped-plane-tornado.html

We are trapped in plane. Stl to ord flight 699. We were in tornado. Need help. Airport vehicles overturned. Plane moved. We are scared. Crews can't get to us. Too much debris.

Funny thing is I am an admin for the chat and I work for the department of which part of our responsibility is the Website. Not me though....thank God.

When the radars aren't updating on the web, based on my experience, it's usually either web based or comms based. With all the storms bouncing around, my first thought was a comms outage. Since it's not a comms outage, at least the warning process continues unimpeded, which is the important part.

And now you know what part I do. I am one of the comms people for Headquarters which sends the info around the country and world. I know this is off topic and I shouldn't be doing this so admins.....sorry!
