kevlon62
32.4. All snow now. 37 to 42 dbz returns just to the west and inbound. Spec of 47 dbz near Rockford. About to see if this was worth waiting up for. Edit: 32.0 degrees. Flake size has been solid - maybe up to half inch diameter but definitely not pixie dust. Dusting is on the raised surfaces. kevlon62
31.5 degrees. Light to moderate snow continues - nearby heavy returns seem to be succumbing to the drier air from the northeast perhaps. About a quarter inch is on the deck railing with cars and roofs covered about the same. Maybe half of that on the grass/mud. Pavement is just wet. Going to need rates to increase to do anything there.
kevlon62
31.5 degrees. Sleet and perhaps some freezing rain mixed in. That takes care of that. The post Groundhog blizzard curse continues. Better luck next winter. Good luck in MI.
Stevo6899
Started work a bit early. Looking at the radar it looks like the heaviest bands will setup along 94. Might miss to the south. We shall see.

hm8
Snow just started up here....and is accumulating at a pretty alarming rate given how light the snow is. On elevated surfaces, at least.

dmc76
Looks like the heavier bands are actually north of the advisories. There should not even be advisories. It will be hard for snow to accumulate this time of year.
Powerball
I was hoping this would be a ripping snow event, but this is just pissing me off now, on April 18th no less.

If this would have started at 2AM it would have been 3-5 inch event but its more like 1" to up to 3"... but thats pushing it

Almost 1-2 inches on cement here. If it wasn't snowing during the morning commute i doubt dtx would've posted advisories
michsnowfreak
Best snow has been to my north and west. Snowing nicely now, though. The grass has a nice white frosting, but the elevated surfaces have a thicker accumulation. Started with 0.1" on elevated surfaces by 7am, then snow stopped for about an hour then began again, and havent measured yet. Falling in thick sheets rather than huge flakes, it reminds me of a winter snowfall more than a spring snowfall (until you see how it is accumulating lol). roardog
Dusting here. That's probably about the best we will do. Yesterday morning, we had some very heavy convective snow showers. So, two days in a row with snow in mid April isn't too bad.
SpartyOn
About 2 inches of cement. Roads are now coated. This is weak! Will say though..As much as I hate Spring Snow..This does look neat.

roardog
It's pouring snow here now. It doesn't look like it will last too much longer but maybe we can squeeze out an inch of accumulation.
