IsentropicLift
That 4.07" of rain in West Milford is going to kill me as I get all the run off from there and Mahwah. I really didn't see this being a big flood threat but the river by me is currently rising at well over 1 foot per hour and its already in action stage. Rtd208
Have to wonder if the heavy rain we received from this storm will be just the primer for more substantial flooding problems in the early and mid part of this coming week and next weekend with the expected additional rainfall. Yeah definitely. Seems like it's almost a given anymore that we get some kind of substantial flooding event most years in March or April.

What an intense event that has shaped up to be.
Jersey Devil
River is in the yard for the 3rd time this spring....... Not nearly as bad as March though. This is just nuisance water, not threatening water. How much more rain are we talking this week?

earthlight
We will probably see more convection fire today near the upper level vorticity..best forcing is over NW NJ and NE PA into Central New England...although the diurnal surface heating suggests we could see some storms as far south as the city. bkviking
Here in Port Jeff Village by harbor, and though sunny, disappointingly the wind is funneling in a bit more northerly than I was expecting. This is mitigating and otherwise rare and precious gift this Spring--Sunshine. Very difficult to reach 60 here this year, and though we probably will today, I fear these winds will muck it up, and I see lotsa typical cloudiness over the Sound looking towards CT. PLEASE spare Long Island today weathergods!
