Torrential rain here in Queenstown, MD... some gusty winds and occasional flashes of lighting... *yawn*

Where's the good stuff?

I am waiting on just normal storms with lightning, that i havent really gotten much of yet this year. I'd take anything to film for lightning content at this point.

Up to 2.10" of rain now, with more stuff developing and heading this way.

Like Wxtrix, I am seeing standing water in areas of the yard that I have not seen before at this location (just shy of 5 years.)

I just saw a dolphin swim by! :P

Just south of Strasburg, at Tom's Brook. Traffic Cam. More heavy stuff coming.

It looks decent.

One thing I've really noticed today is a big discrepancy between my GR radar and local media radars. Local media all show much more intense returns...strange.

I wonder if that stuff to the west can expand a bit more - I have to assume we are pretty worked over with all the rain today. Is that stuff the front?

i think it's the front tho the windshift and dp drop behind it seems marginal. seems about right given 2p plot: http://www.hpc.ncep.noaa.gov/sfc/90fwbg.gif

so far looks like it wants to keep going.. dynamics ftw

Crazy weather on the east coast today. Terrible reports coming out of NC.....one skywarn spotter was sitting in his front yard and his house was completely gone.

That line back to the west continues to build in strength and further south. Let's see if that can hold up.
