uncle W
so far April 2011 is nothing like April 1950...A cooler second half won't make up for the much warmer start ...Some areas like the east coast could end up near normal...
uncle W
April 1963 is on par with this year temperature wise so far...This year will be wetter than 1950 and 1963 at least in the NE...
Roger Smith
Could you post a map for April 1976? I wanted to see how the anomalous warmth in the Great Lakes that month connected to the central U.S. Perhaps more usefully (to me) could you reveal how you go about generating these maps? Thanks. Ellinwood
Perhaps more usefully (to me) could you reveal how you go about generating these maps? Thanks. You can make those at the ESRL PSD web site. The main page for plotting things is here: http://www.esrl.noaa...data/getpage.pl You can use the US Climate Division Data Plots to produce those maps. JamieOber
Is there a way to run that average with just the highs? Most of our highs here have been below normal, but we are around normal overall due to lows kept up by this seemingly neverending cloudiness. Not a pleasant Appalachian spring.
