Kevin Askew
TINY cell suddenly formed in front of the line in west KY This happened with the Scott/Cape cell. We made it behind it a little too late. formed in 3 frames basically. Main line went outflow and most likely produced supercell in front. amazing to watch it b4 our eyes. Meanwhile looks like Leaksville NW side has a tornado on the ground. Very deep couplet.

Sonny WX
Fifth hail core today - last round had quarter size. Impressive hailers today. One after another. Ping Pong size hail reported at or near the NWS Office in Paducah I saw/heard reports of golfball sized hail here in Baton Rouge. Slept through most of the severe impact on our area, and had to run check my new car for hail damage. None. Whew! lol

janetjanet998
Leakesville supercell up there for storm of the day... Timmer just said it was stronger than the Jackson/Clinton tornado.. hopefully it went just NW of the town i'm too lazy to count the number of tornado warnings out of JAN today. may be over
janetjanet998
SPC over 90 preliminary reports now in the past 24-36 hours. Last nights included. so far there is a greater then 6 hour gap between tornadoes so I'm not sure if we can count them as one outbreak.... .... however there wer a decent amount of tornado warnings out of LIT in the early am with decent couplets but I have yet to see any surveys... that 70 today will go much higher..but of course thats the prelim number the and actual will be lower
ExplosiveLow
Very cool pics Beau! This has been an amazing event that will go down in history, especially considering it will cover a three day period...spanding from Central Oklahoma to the Atlantic coast. Unless I have missed something...I have not heard of any fatalities yet from the MS/AL storms today. Very very very good news. Hopefully that holds true. Almost unbelieveible with the data that my eyes have witnessed today.
SluggerWx
Nice couplet moving back into Leakesville Pros like Beau...would reserve this for SE forum but in interest of time and all my family being in northeast cobb GA...I'm seeing a strong couplet just NE of Powder Springs, GA. My mom's working at a hospital in Kennesaw and my family lives in northeast Cobb County. Needs a tornado warning, and it doesn't have one. Can you please double-check my findings? SluggerWx
And yes I would issue a tornado warning on that cell- there is quite a bit of rotation with that cell through different levels - with the history of those cells - I would prob error on the safe side. Also reports of baseball size hail with the Grinnett storm. Thanks, Beau, I appreciate it. Here's what I grabbed. No Type of anything being warned on this cell. TWC is in Atlanta, and I'd venture to say they have folks that live right underneath this cell that's not being warned.
Stebo
I'd certainly watch the areas in S. AL and the Florida Panhandle over night, the LLJ should ramp up and those areas have been untouched this evening with storms firing further down the line North of New Orleans.
