Jeremy, where do you see that they are updating?

DAY 2 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK

NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK

1226 PM CDT FRI APR 15 2011

VALID 161200Z - 171200Z

...THERE IS A MDT RISK OF SVR TSTMS ACROSS THE CNTRL AND ERN

CAROLINAS...

...THERE IS A SLGT RISK OF SVR TSTMS FROM GA NWD ACROSS THE MID

ATLANTIC REGION...

..SYNOPSIS

A STRONG UPPER TROUGH WILL EJECT NEWD OUT OF THE GULF COAST STATES

AND INTO THE MID ATLANTIC BY 00Z. AT THE SURFACE...A LOW PRESSURE

TROUGH AND COLD FRONT WILL EXTEND SEWD FROM A SURFACE LOW THAT WILL

BE CENTERED OVER THE GREAT LAKES. AS THIS FRONT WILL CROSSES THE

APPALACHIANS...MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY WILL INCREASE ACROSS THE MID

ATLANTIC REGION AS INTENSE WIND FIELDS ASSOCIATED WITH A STRONG

UPPER JET CORE OVERSPREAD THE AREA.

...WIDESPREAD DAMAGING WINDS AND A FEW STRONG TORNADOES WILL BE

POSSIBLE ACROSS THE CNTRL AND ERN CAROLINAS ON SATURDAY...

..MID ATLANTIC

NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL EXTEND SWD ALONG THE COLD

FRONT FROM WV INTO SRN GA SAT MORNING. ONGOING SEVERE STORMS WITH

MAINLY A WIND AND MARGINAL HAIL THREAT MAY EXIST WITH THE ACTIVITY

FROM NRN GA ACROSS THE WRN CAROLINAS. INTENSE WIND SHEAR PROFILES

WILL ALREADY BE IN PLACE WITH A 50-60 KT LOW LEVEL JET AND MID LEVEL

JET CORE APPROACHING.

THIS ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO PERSIST AND INTENSIFY THROUGH THE DAY

AS THE PRE FRONTAL AIR MASS DESTABILIZES THROUGH ADVECTION OF MID

60S F DEWPOINTS NWD AS WELL AS POCKETS OF HEATING. AS THE LOW

PRESSURE TROUGH DEEPENS...LOW LEVEL SHEAR PROFILES WILL BE MAXIMIZED

WITH MODEL PROGGED 300-400 M2/S2 EFFECTIVE SRH ACROSS THE WARM

SECTOR. MID TO UPPER LEVEL LAPSE RATE PROFILES WILL BE MODESTLY

STEEP...WHICH SHOULD AID IN UPDRAFT STRENGTH. AS SUCH...A FEW

INTENSELY ROTATING SUPERCELLS WITH A THREAT OF TORNADOES WILL EXIST.

ISOLATED STRONG AND LONG TRACKED TORNADOES MAY OCCUR ACROSS THE MDT

RISK AREA...ESPECIALLY IF SUPERCELLS CAN REMAIN AT LEAST

SEMI-DISCRETE. IF A MORE LINEAR STRUCTURE OCCURS...THE RESULT COULD

BE A SIGNIFICANT QLCS EVENT WITH WIDESPREAD DAMAGING WINDS.

FARTHER N INTO VA...A THREAT OF STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND A FEW

TORNADOES WILL ALSO EXIST...BUT THE MAGNITUDE OF THE THREAT HERE

WILL BE CONDITIONAL ON THE DEGREE OF DESTABILIZATION.

Hoping I do better than the last system, hardly got sprinkles out of that one. Wish this cloud cover would break up some so we could get some heating going. Temps generally only around 70 north with dewpoints in the 50s, but temps in the mid to upper 70s with dewpoints in the 60s across central Ga. SPC stops the moderate risk at the al border but it would appear mainly because this activity should come in during the night with the expectation that duirnal cooling will weaken the storms. It's possible this won't happen if things get going well enough this afternoon.

Just an FYI for everyone, let's not cut and paste watches or warnings messages...except maybe for the header/headline. We do a pretty good job of this anyway but one of the biggest complaints from posters is people constantly posting the entire warning messages during a severe outbreak. As you can imagine, if there is a lot of warnings this will drown the thread in them and actual discussion will be harder to find. Instead, just say a warnings is out for "x" county or there is a new tornado watch for X area. Let's either link to the watch/warning or just give the headline so we don't drown out the discussion with copy and paste watch/warning messages. Thanks in advance.

I was just watching chasertv and I don't know who exactly chases for hardcoreweather.com but they just had an accident. Appears they tried to make a u-turn from the far right lane of a four lane highway and did not see the car coming from behind him in the left lane. The next thing I saw was the outline of another car and then a jolt and the camera falling between the seats. He turned the video feed off and seems to be ok. Hopefully that goes for the other driver as well, it looked like a fairly hard hit. Be careful out there people.
