Trees here at work have been leafing pretty good for about a week. I think the elevation at my building is around 400' (downtown is at 250').

At home we are about a week behind from my observations. My allergies really kicked in this afternoon though. First time this year, so something is triggering that (maple?)

I'm not really sure, not a pollen expert. What area do you work? It may be the maples that are going crazy right now.

What's with the end of the world talk with next week's weather? I haven't looked at much at all but here's the NWS forecast... certainly below normal but no nightmare.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 67. North wind between 8 and 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 70. North wind 6 to 8 mph becoming south.

Monday: A chance of showers, mainly after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60.

Yeah--we have some buds opening on some rees, but none have any leaves yest. Different story down in the Falls, though. I went in there a few days ago--a different world down there. Guess the temps are going to be pushing the leaves out to quickly. With the exception of a high near 60 tomorrow, the zone has 50's throughout.

Headed to Boston today. We're celebrating the kids' 5th birthday by taking the Downeaster to Boston and then going to the aquarium. It's all a secret to them, should be a couple of excited kids when they see they're going to be riding on a real train.

Forsythia bloomed yesterday, as did the daffodils. Neighbor's snow pile will be gone today ... missed May by thismuch.

Enjoy Beantown!

We discovered something when we went there. There was a huge line for admission--really sucky long. My wife waited in line there while I went up to the 'no line' members entrance. We could get a family membership for like $125 and avoid the ridiculous ticket line. Since there were five of us, we might have even saved a couple bucks. Then, you don't have to pay admission for any return visits that year either.

Nice tip, but we've already purchased our tickets. Seems like decent weather is on tap. Pity. Would've been nice to see Scott doing his swan dive off the Pru.

I work in Leominster, kinda near Lancaster

The maples near my house have the big "flowers" out, but no leaves yet. At work they are leafed

THat area has a little microclimate thing going on...Lancaster is warmer and drier than just west, storms tend to die out as they run into that area too (Leominster, Lancaster, Ayer)

I'll be working in Ft. Devens, Shirley, Ayer, Harvard today. The hilly parts of Harvard are gorgeous this time of year.

I 'm there pretty often, my brother lives there. Unlike Kevin, my brother has an "organic landscaping" company take care of his lawn. I don't even think he owns a lawn mower. lol
