BOS is probably SOL...the BD front is actually forecast to sink back to the SW over the next few hours...we'll see if that actually happens though

Yeah, WCVB mets this morning was mentioning the winds turning to the East later today and keeping Boston cool...

Oh well... Scooter isn't home anyway to enjoy his BD

We need some storms to get this oppressive 74* heat out of here.

Any storms that try to get in here later this evening are going to die quicker than a TC approaching SNE...we'll probably cool off quite a bit as the winds turn back to the E and NE as the BD front sinks back SW.

Yeah I'm not expecting anything. I wouldn't mind the heat except for the fact that my school is a complete disaster when it gets warm. I mean it can be 55F and sunny outside and the school gets warm...it was getting very warm today and we only had a few hours of warm temps. It will probably be downright hot in there tomorrow lol.

:arrowhead:

I had thunder and lightning around 3:45 this morning (just a little).

Nice looking set of warnings on NWS map

(although WTF is a "Brisk Wind Advisory"? sounds a little pansy to me)

Apparently we had a good light show with 'moderate thunder' according to my wife. Woke up my daughter.

I slept through it. A bit unusual for that to happen.

Temp matching steadily up 59.8/59

LOl, good one Wiz, the older you get you begin to realize the subtle jokes are the best. Heavy heavy sweat in the sun, sitting outside on my day off sipping a Long Island Ice Tea, feels like mid summer.

Good day to have off... I wish I was working in the yard today... I had last week off but the weather was not really great for yard work. Did what I could.

Any fishing yet?

I've only seen these around Alaska. I think they're the equivalent of a small craft advisory where the water is frozen over.

Do you make your own cold? 69F being reported on a Shelburne wx station.

Are you looking at Sherborn? The only Shelburne station on the pdfamily site is me:

http://www.pdfamily.com/weather/mesomap.htm

The 74 it's reports is wrong--but if you hover over it, you'll get the accurate one (actually, that lags reality a bit). Up to 61/0/60.

Sun's shining through thick haze.

Actually I saw it on TWC...not sure where they get temp reports from. Regardless...I see your warming up now, you should be in the 70s in no time. sun.gif
