23/21, Nice. Looks like more stellar rainy cold weather on tap. No sign of Kevin's heat wave anywhere in the forecast. Just mank and murk. Hey Socks, light accumulation yesterday @ 2k in the Berkshires, snowed on and off all day.

It's not my heatwave..ALl the mets are on board. Looks like widespread 80 next Wed/maybe Thurs depending on timing of front

The low was 25F here..... I still think tomorrow's even can be snow for awhile in places like here and Pete's place before the warm air sweeps in.

23° here this morning, after off and on snowshowers all day yesterday. Great day for the first day of golf league.:arrowhead: Weenie snow patches getting pretty scarce around here. NWS calling for rain/sleet mix to start off late tonight and tomorrow morning.

BELIEVE SOME SLEET WILL MIX WITH THE RAIN MAINLY ACRS THE CATSKILLS TO UPR

MOHAWK BY 3Z.-- End Changed Discussion --

&&

.SHORT TERM /10 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT/...

-- Changed Discussion --UPDATED AS OF 930 AM... SOME MINOR CHANGES TO THE OVERNIGHT

PERIOD...MAINLY TO ACCOUNT FOR PTYP ISSUES. THE LATEST LAV/MAV/MET

GUIDANCE ALL SHOW SFC TEMPS OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN...MAINLY EAST OF

I-81...DROPPING INTO THE LOWER 30S...WHILE STEADIER PCPN IS MOVING

IN. THUS...HAVE INSERTED A POTENTIAL -SN/-IP MIX IN SOME OF THESE

AREAS...WITH A POSSIBLE SMALL ACCUM (<1") IN PORTIONS OF THE CATSKILLS.

OTHERWISE...NO SIG CHANGES.

I looked at the 12z GFS and initially we are north of a boundary early next week.... Then yeah we get warm ahead of a storm tracking west of us, but it doesn't look to me like some classic early season heat set up. More like a lot of 70's which is run of the mill 'above normal' when it's almost May. Maybe BDL and a few typical places gets 80+ and I know Kevin begins to use BDL as his place of record when hyping torches in the summer. LOL

Enjoy your 5 minutes of sleeet before it goes over to rain.

Man I'm so jealous you get to see sleet on April 23rd!!!!

(sarcasm)

And for me...

Tonight: A chance of snow, mainly after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low

around 34. South wind between 5 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Saturday: Rain and snow,

becoming all rain after 8am. High near 47. South wind between 9 and 11 mph, with

gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no snow

accumulation expected.

I'll bet you a dollar he sees some flakes...:snowman:

Seems likely, maybe a slushy light accumulation if it breaks right. Wish I was still in AK.

.TODAY...CLOUDY WITH AREAS SNOW...MAINLY NORTH AND

WEST OF TALKEETNA. SNOW ACCUMULATION 3 TO 6 INCHES ALONG THE

ALASKA RANGE... HIGHS IN THE MID 30S TO MID 40S. NORTHEAST WIND 10 TO 20 MPH

rain tom, heat next week, leaf out galore over the next 10 days...................love it baby love it

Bring on the heat, 95-100 every day with excessive humidity, i can smell the torch

95-100 with excessive humidity? What do you think this is, Del Ray Beach? We're going to be in the upper 60s to mid 70s next week probably considering all the garbage in the warm sector and due south winds. I agree that the leaf-out will proceed rapidly, already have some small leaves on maple trees here though most species are not leafed out yet. It's interesting that the maples seem to get going a lot earlier than the beeches, elms, chestnuts, etc. But once we start seeing lows in the 50s with the humid/cloudy airmass, it should take off! I planted a bunch of squashes (both zucchini/summer squash and heirloom winter squashes) in my vegetable garden today, green beans tomorrow, cucumbers next week when the warmth arrives....eggplants, melons and heirloom tomatoes by May 10th. Already have the peas and Early Girl/Patio tomatoes in.

Blizz is a heat troll, I actually love the heat.

Sun is filtered thru a cirrus deck now, nicest its been all day, temp up to 54

You must have seen more sun than Westchester; we only had a high of 49.2F in Dobbs Ferry. I was playing tennis this morning in Westport and noticed there was a filtered sun during our match, but when I drove back on I-95 it clouded back up quickly as I approached NYC. Sitting at 44.1/33, pretty impressive below normal temperatures for this time of year. HPN had a high of 50F.

LOL, you guys are leafing out and I'm still waiting for the first Daffodil to open here. Still have a pile of snow in the yard that's putting up a valiant fight.

Forget about it.

You'll be lucky to see one 100F day. People forget, it's not that common not to hit triple digits here in a summer...2009 had no such days, 2008 only had one, etc.
