I can barely see my neighbor's porch lights through the fog...

No one is outside... dark... scary... No more snow piles to measure

LOL, there was inhabitants when i drove down the bottom of my hill into town to shop a little and all looked like it wasn't spring.

Up here, no one outside either and dark. that BINOVC is filled in to OVC again. No wind. No thick fog here though.. that would be nice.

However, Logan11's winds will be here soon. We need some windchill to add as well

It's not in the past tense in Quebec and the northern half of ME... A nice 8-15 inch snowfall across the Laurentians today to Quebec City. Mont Ste Anne having a big Easter weekend...Not sure if Tremblant stayed open.... edit..Tremblant closed so a waste of a good storm, but economics I guess.

The cold is driving in nicely here now after our four hour flirtations with 50's from about 3 to 7 PM and peaked at 59......... Now back down to 42 and a strong wind driving across the fields. I opened all my windows to air the place out.

You are a true lover of winter...god bless you, sir! I have met few who are as unwaveringly in love with cold and snow as you, Rick, congrats!

I want to drive up to Quebec but don't know of any skiing open. Do you have any ideas? How much snow did Quebec City get? What is their average in April?

I absolutely love Quebec City; the Old World architecture and hills surrounding the St. Lawrence make it one of the prettiest places in the world, and I love being able to speak French so close to home. I was there for a day before volunteering on an organic farm 3 hours to the north, just outside of Chicoutimi, as part of a senior project I did for my HS in 2006. Haven't been back since then but really want to. The drive through Laurentides Forest Preserve is absolutely epic; the road (Highway 175) attains over 2000' of elevation, and I imagine some of the snowiest places in the Northeast are up there (besides perhaps Labrador). Amidst the spruce forest, I found patches of snow in late May 2006, and that wasn't exactly a particularly cold/snowy winter. Hiking in Mont-Valins Provincial Park to the north of Chicoutimi, there was still solid snow cover above 2000' on June 10th, albeit only a few inches. Here is a picture of the park, amazing:

This wind will break through over there pretty soon and blow your fog right out I would think....

Albany is at 49/38 with NW wind 17mph gusting to 30mph...Orange Municipal Airport in central MA is reporting fog at 44/43 with a S wind at 3mph...Clearly the front is near the Massachusetts/NY border; your fog will quickly dissipate as the cold front arrives and brings in lower dewpoints. You can see that Albany is starting to clear out with a 10-degree dewpoint depression whereas Central MA is still socked in with their temp/dewpoint being so close.

Mont Ste Anne is definitely open this weekend and numerous Easter Weekend things planned. They haven't updated their snowfall yet. The 15 cm on their website was from a few days ago. It never exceeded 30F there today so I'm assuming the heavy snowfall warning verified.

Yeah I love the parc north of Quebec City. I drove through there - past Lac Jacques Cartier etc...and off the main road to some of the smaller lakes years ago. I have also camped off the Mauricie River above Shawinigan and loved that, but it was late June and the black flies were vicious in one area. LOL They literally chased me a half mile until I could take shelter in a cabin.

Aside from Europe..the closest you will get is to walk down the hill all the way into the heart of old Quebec City...haven't been there since 2004....

Albany is typically slow to cool down... 40/34 here now.
