Mr. Windcredible!
What a miserable day...low 40's and cloudy, winds gusting to 30-35 mph with a cold drizzle on the doorstep. Enjoy Too bad none of the fun stuff makes it into SNE...except for some downpours. I don't mind that anyway...it's this dry/windy/cold crap I can do without in mid April. Spring in SNE is by far the worst season.
40/70 Benchmark
Very atumnal sensible wx appeal, today.....I love, but it keeps tricking me into thinking that winter is near. Late October like. 39.6\31 Overcast....too bad we couldn't have a coastal firing.

weatherMA
Never have enough heavy HEAVY snow. Today really does make me want more of winter. If it wasn't for the recent bloomings you would think it was mid-November out there. 42.5/31 here, cold breeze.

Wonder if I might start with some flakes or pings? Already had an 8' gust of 20mph.
Logan11
Frozen precipitation alert! ..for those you down east. It has developed here as a messy, but delightful mix of rain and a lot of ice pellets, with wet flakes during heavier bouts. 38F..... I'm hoping there are some storms on the Cape later. I'm at 38.3/25, so I figure'd that might be what I'd see at the start. Seems like the first echos are really close, so I'll know soon enough. Logan11
And I just drove up out of the HV at about 150 feet asl and there were some pings at times there also.... Too bad we had no blocking and ability to force this to the coast because we could have pulled off a late season snowfall. But things have to work out just right this late in the season. Thanks, Rick. I'm at 38.3/25, so I figure'd that might be what I'd see at the start. Seems like the first echos are really close, so I'll know soon enough. I drove through Shelburne Falls on the way back from the dump an hour ago. They're about 400' below me and it 44* there. 38.1/25 here attm. Had both here during the first very small batch of precip that came through. moneypitmike
37/24, sn/pl I'm running into Buckland 15 minutes to pick up my pizza. Logan11
OK...so if we can pull some flakeage off by Oct 16th then our period in the "wilderness" of mild wx will only be six months. 37/24, sn/pl

Just got in from working at 2k. Windy and just downright nasty, hope everything moves out quickly tomorrow as I'm armed with a burn permit and In intend to burn some major slash piles. I saw an interesting way to get a bonfire going when I was in AK. You put a few paint cans filled with gas at the base of the pile and then stand a safe distance away and light a roman candle and launch the candle's shots into the pile. Kaboom, instant and explosive fire.Looks really cool at night. Probably won't do that here in the police state, er, I mean Massachusetts.lol Not good for the environment either. Logan11
I never heard of needing a burn permit in this town. Has this been imposed on you by the liberal intelligentsia around Greater BOS? Logan11
The hope burns eternal of course. No trips plans so I won't be able to walk on snow in June in the Austrian Alps this year sadly.
