capitalweather Posted April 6, 2011 Share Posted April 6, 2011 Here's the info: Washington Post The Washington Post's weather team, the Capital Weather Gang, is seeking qualified candidates for possible summer and fall internships. The intern will assist in developing multimedia (including text, graphics, and video) weather and climate content for the web and mobile devices (blogs and social media), and print. He/she may also work on projects involving data analysis, historical research, and/or forecast verification. Ideal candidates will be college junior or seniors or graduate students in atmospheric science passionate about the communication of weather information across digital and print platforms. Outstanding analytical, writing, and presentation skills are desired. Prospective interns must be students currently enrolled in a degree program, and, if selected, must submit one of the following on or before the first day of the internship: 1) documentation showing that academic credit is being received (i.e. a copy of the course registration), or 2) a letter from a professor, department head, or academic advisor stating that the internship significantly contributes to the student's current degree program, or 3) a letter from the school stating that the internship is part of a work-study or independent study program. Hours per week: 16 hours maximum, unpaid, with flexible scheduling. Interested candidates should email Jason Samenow, Weather Editor, at [email protected] and attach resume.
