Wind which was NW all day briefly switched to SW around 5 pm at which time the temp briefly spiked to 70 at 5:30. Shortly thereafter winds shifted to SE and now down to 56. Should have my weather station online by next weknd. Gilgo Beach shows the offshore flow giving way to the sea breeze then reversing before the sea breeze finally won out. I saw something similar here today.I rose to 69 then fell back to 64 in a short time before bouncing back to 68.Finally the sea breeze took over an I am down to 52. We have had way too many cold crappy days this spring so far. Thats my whole point.Spring in NYC is not supposed to be warm and nice.Sure,you can have some nice days but there are a lot of crappy days as well.Its normal.Last year was a once in a generation type of spring.I dont even think about steady warm weather until Memorial Day and the past several years overall have seen some chilly JUNE periods.
