12z nam warms us up into the 70s on easter sunday, awesome. Dont even care if its sunny or not anymore lol as long as its warm

Yeah, I'm sick of walking around with a jacket on. I just want to transition to shorts and a T-shirt already, but that probably won't be for awhile

Its very frustrating how we just cant sustain a period of warmth. It seems like we get 1-2 nice/ warm days a month and then cold always returns. I hope thats not the case yet again next week. March 18th was a prime example with temps in the 70s follow by awful weather the weeks after.

Yea I've noticed that right around me is usually 2-3 degrees warmer than the park during the day and sometimes 4-5 degrees warmer at night. Nothin but tall buildings and pavement around me.

That is crazy you only have buds on some trees. A lot of trees in the city are already pretty leafed out, but this has literally just happened in the past 3 or 4 days. Crazy how fast it occurred.

Well, my low was 38.2 degrees and Im about 25 miles SE of Mid Town. Radiational cooling, when it reaches its full potential, can be pretty extreme-- Im only 4 miles from JFK and yet my low on May 13, 1996 was 33, while it was 43 there.

How did you get so cold lol. Its still in the upper 40s here.

Alex, maybe b/c winds are east/southeast, which is more ocean based here vs your area (whereas southerlies yield more marine impact for western Long Island).

Temps up and down the NJ coast are about 44F right now. Pretty chilly for late April.

Next week's temps definitely look warmer, but sunshine will still be an issue as it may be a "dirty" warm-up. Also the low level flow is far from ideal, winds SSWLY/SLY, so coastal NJ, LI and New England likely staying cool. The usual warm spots like PHL and interior NJ should hit 80 though, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Sunday is likely to be warmer on the coast, than any day next week, with a more westerly component to the wind. Would not be surprised to see EWR and JFK hit 80 on Sunday. Especially if clouds and convection hold off till late in day.

Easter Sunday you think EWR is going to hit 80F?

No way, too many clouds/showers around for that! ECM has .5" rain Sunday...

NYC is +0.2 for the month. LGA is -0.1. JFK is +0.9. EWR is +1.6.

Y'all are a bunch of wimps, whining about the weather all Spring. You are totally, whether consciously or not, comparing this spring to last spring, and last spring was like one in 50 years. This Spring is normal. Get over it.

I have something to complain about... EKO is -1.8 for the month. Though I'm certainly not complaining about the 10" of snow I had on April 8th ;)

God bless this man, people are acting as if they can control the weather if they complain enough about it.

Temps haven't been an issue, it's cloud cover. I don't think it's too hard to ask for at least 3 days of sunshine per week; we've basically been getting 1-2 at best. I'd like to see how this spring compares to other years in terms of # of cloudy days.

Now compare the number of cloudy days in NYC versus EKO so far this April, and tell me who the real wimp is. :gun_bandana:

I just can't believe we are having frozen precipitation and highs in the 40s this late...although we did have a high of 44F here on May 10th last year in the record warm spring, so it happens.
