ag3
So 12z Euro continues to show 50's and rain all day on Easter Sunday. It has measurable rain from Saturday 7am, non stop until Monday 2pm. Heaviest rain is Saturday morning to afternoon (.75"). And light rain continues non stop thru Easter Sunday. So 12z NAM has 68 degrees, sunny and zero rain for Easter and 12z euro has 50-55 degree temps and non-stop drizzle and rain. Euro run detail: -Saturday has .75" of rain the whole day with temps in the upper 40's to low 50's. -Sunday has light rain the entire day (.15"-.20") with temps in the low to mid 50's. -Monday rains until the afternoon. Rain stops and temps respond to the low 60's. -Tuesday is a full out torch with temps of 75-80 for NYC and vicinity. -Wednesday is another torch with temps of 68-72 for NYC and vicinity. -Thursday we are back to the light rain/drizzle crap but temps are showing low to mid 60's steady. For Tuesday the usual areas that warm in Jersey are showing 80-85 degrees. Coastal areas of LI are unfortunately showing 50's for Tuesday and Wednesday. IsentropicLift
It also has a deep trough moving towards the coast around day 7 with more crappy weather on tap The GFS is nearly identical. The trough even looks like it might go negative. They are hyping another widespread severe weather outbreak in the western/central forum. We might be in for a repeat performance. HM is really hyping it on his facebook fan page... in his defense, it does look like a really impressive set up... the jet stream is pretty insane.. even around our area by late next week.. it'll be a very interesting week weather-wise

Nearly every single reservoir in the area is at its absolute max. How much more rain can these things handle?

I think they have about 29 for me.. Tomorrow will be interesting.. with clouds moving in and possibly a pretty massive inversion setting up tonight, we may underperform on temps and not make it out of the 40's.. we shall see. TheTrials
I am all for a frost/freeze tonight. Its great to kill of bugs and the apple trees etc aren't out yet so it won't hurt them. And if people planted stuff already its way too early considering the pattern we are in. Bring it.

Yeah I wouldn't bet on anything more than upper 40s for here Friday and Saturday. A few flakes in the high terrain in the wee hours of Saturday morning? Finally getting those big negative departures 55.3/

Finally getting those big negative departures 55.3/31 well.. not sure about the snowflakes part.. that would be rather interesting... but definitely way below normal. I dread seeing highs in the 40's this time of year.. but oh well, it happens.. Saturday will most likely start warming up very late in the day with the warm front passage.. it will by no means be a nice day though.. at least next week, we have realistic shots of 70 and above. Cfa
This will be interesting yet again being that I'm close enough to the coast to get the marine layer/sea breeze yet far enough away from the coast to be in the "torch zone", I've experienced both already. Hoping for the torch this time around.
