ORH_wxman
Man, some of those south coastal communities really got their rumps pumped by that cold ocean. I'm sitting here in Westborough at 77F, not 30 miles as the crow flies from PVD, which is stuck at 60. Westerly RI appear to have slipped into the upper 40s? Newport RI (KUUU) is sitting at 47F right now. Good weather for dropping the toaster in the tub.
Logan11
77 here off a high of exactly 79. Now it brightened again and a few sunny breaks. Newport RI (KUUU) is sitting at 47F right now. Good weather for dropping the toaster in the tub.

Logan11
I would never live on the coast in SNE even if I loved the three months or so of nice seashore wx..... The rest of the year is just too abysmal. Changeovers to cold miserable rain the bulk of the time in the winter and this kind of ugly stuff into June sometimes...... Man, some of those south coastal communities really got their rumps pumped by that cold ocean. I'm sitting here in Westborough at 77F, not 30 miles as the crow flies from PVD, which is stuck at 60. Typhoon Tip
Newport RI (KUUU) is sitting at 47F right now. Good weather for dropping the toaster in the tub. Good lord! Yeah, I lived in Rockport Mass for 1 year back in 1984-1985, and I remember a few days in May and June, where it was 77F at BED, ...meanwhile, shrouds of fog were coming in off the ocean and you had to wear a jacket. Life for the chosen coastal denizen is a full commitment. You have no expectations, you carry no illusions. It's a way of life, and if you are a Meteorologist, you're purview of interest pretty much stops at coastal flood and surf events, every 20 years a hurricane threat. powderfreak
My snowbanks and existing drifts are getting gashed this afternoon. It was a good winter, but it's over. Time for it all to go. It did go fast this afternoon, that's for sure. I noticed it even looking out my window from 2-5pm when dew points spiked into the mid 50s. The recent dry warmth wasn't doing too much damage, but this humid and wet stuff is the killer.

HoarfrostHubb
I wonder if Ray has any piles left in his backyard swamp. At Megan's place in N Chelmsford, she still had a decent pile in the back of her place. I lost the last of the snow on my 3 acres on Sunday. A few spots in town that are on the north side of some pines still have piles. My neighbor still has a huge 6' pile he made in the front lawn. Stoopid mosquitos were out at the ballfield tonight. I hate spring
MaineJayhawk
Busy day for me. One year appointment in boston at the hematologist. Bloodwork looked good. Also had a biopsy done. Sucked royally. I think coastal areas probably have the most interesting wx in the whole state. Sure they might not avg 80" of snow, but you have your share of good cstl storms with a variety of wx. I think some areas near in the interior run the risk of rare events like severe ice storms or the ocnl severe event, but how often do those happen?
