TheTrials
Goodbye atlantic city on the 6z gfs. Looks like 12z euro yesterday. If it stays inland, meh, its a waste.
TheTrials
YES! Comes back over the ocean and is coming right into Anthony's CVS. EPIC hit again on the gfs.

TheTrials
In all seriousness, this would be a disaster beyond imagine in the nyc metro area. South towns of LI western shore, gone. FDR, battery park, wtc site, all the southern points of the island of manhattan, epic flooding with substantial infrastructure damage to highways. Western LI sound, massive flooding as the entire sound is pushed west. Flooding rains in all the rivers, wind damage from the storm and any water spouts/tornados it spits up. It would be a 200 year storm.

NEG NAO
LOL at the mid-atlantic weenies getting all pumped. 12/27 redux coming for them. this doesn't even potentially compare to 12/27 - 12/27 didn't cause tens of billions worth of damage - evacuation of millions of people possibly for days or weeks ..... areas that don't normally flood under water etc etc

TheTrials
Well, the west trend continues. Apps runner now the preferred track by experiemental GFS and all the tropical models shifting way west. Looks like we could see very little of anything if the trending continues, congrats buffalo

Only way evacuations would be necessary is if the hurricane takes the exact track the 0z and 6z gfs did. And even then, only immediate ocean facing towns, would need evacuations. Any more west, like the majority of the models are now showing, the storm will be very weak byt the time it reaches our longitude.

Hurricane warnings will be issued tomorrow at 5 a.m. most likely and the evacuations listed in this link will begin : http://www.state.nj.us/njoem/plan/evacuation-routes.html

Its going to go well into NC and be a tropical depression by the time it rains itself out over PA and NY. We should have nice weather this weekend.
