Parsley
Hello all, while I'm normally posting in the Philly subforum, all my family lives on Long Island, so I thought I'd join in up here. I plan to be back in Islip Terrace by Saturday morning if a central or western Long Island landfall appears likely. Just talked to my parents and they didn't seem overly concerned yet. Is that the case elsewhere up there?

TheTrials
Looks like based on the early 00z's this is New England's storm. Congrats to them. They cleaned up last winter and the pattern has remained the same. Bascially anyone left of the middle of LI will see rain and that's about it. To the right will be epic damage. Oh well, we don't need the headaches.
ag3
Early guidance models are ticking west every run. They are playing catchup to the euro, HWRF, GFDL and NAM. Especially to the euro. The consensus is shrinking for a landfall anywhere from NYC to the Hamptons.

Even 1/2 mile to the left of the center will see very little from this storm that you wouldn't get in a bad thunderstorm. All these storms are the same, gloria, bob, etc, they never bother nyc
