Stowe's closing on April 17th to start construction on the new quad before the Bicknells Thrush (type of bird) arrives to the mountain to mate in May.

The skiing is still quite good on Mansfield. We will certainly be hiking for it well into the spring this season.

Not for nothing but a pair of skins and some clif bars might be your best friend this winter. There is A TON of snow up high and after the lifts close it's going to be FANTASTIC corn skiing till at least late late April.

Ding!

Ride your mt bike in the trail to the edge of the snow, stash the bike in the woods and go for a walk. Ski down, wash, rinse, repeat :ski:

Wow, that will be their latest closing ever. My brother was up there this weekend and said it was still boundary to boundary with deep base.

Actually, Sugarloaf's latest closing ever was 1996 when they made it to June 4th.

They are like 98% open as of today. I'm chomping at the bit to get up there but the wife wants no part of me being 5 hours away when our baby is due in like 3 weeks.

Wow

If it was my first kid.....I would stand down.....but knowing what I know after three, there is a window of opportunity.
