tamarack Posted June 17, 2011 Share Posted June 17, 2011 Pretty good hailstorm in Belgrade yest, saw considerable leaf salad on road shoulders and lawns for the 5-mile stretch from jct Rts 27 and 135 up to Belgrade Village. Some ice still visible 2 hr after the event, largest looked mothball-sized, and fog-shrouded ditches holding more leftover ice. North of the Village there was some road shoulder erosion but no sign of signif hail. An hour of rumbles IMBY but nary a drop. Dense fog on the drive in this AM, even at my place where no rain fell yest. Sun was out atop Mile Hill then visibily about 50 yd on the south downslope.
